Pedicab at their album launch

Raymund Marasigan has just emailed the Sandwich mailing list:

Subject: [subsandwich] the magical mystery show

dear kids

the paranoid wizards at the ministry of magic forbids me to speak of
the great quidditch tournament.

but i have reason (version4) to believe that it is true. the
information regarding the date , venue and how to join the
celebration is out in the interweb.

its free and its out there. but you have to be cunning and smart.look
for clues.

look for the head sandwich sherpa. she will lead you to the peak of
destiny.

the muggles will get in your way. the death eaters will hunt you down.

may the four be with you.
and i will see you there

aldus dumbledore

Let’s try to decipher the message. Who are the paranoid wizards? Most probably the organizers of the event. The Ministry of Magic most likely are the ‘promoters’ of the show ( Phillip Morris) . Eraserheads Reunion Gig was named as the “Quidditch Tournament”.

I just don’t get the “look for the head sandwich sherpa. she will lead you to the peak of
destiny.” I don’t know if what I am thinking is correct. Hmmm. Anybody knows? :)

Buhay Coke Video Contest Winners Announced

posted by Sharlyne Ang on August 12th, 2008 under Events

Last August 8th the winners for the Buhay Coke Video Contest were announced at Taste Asia. Bloggers ( and friends of bloggers) were invited to witness this event. Of course there were free food and drinks there for everyone ( I’m glad that I still was able to catch the Brazo de Mercedes hehe :) ). We enjoyed the party and the live singing of the stars in Komikero’s video entry of ” I’d Like to Teach The World To Sing”.

Hearing them sing live made me reminisce my 7th birthday in Mcdonald’s. It was the theme song in my 7th birthday video coverage. Haha.

By the way Congratulations to Azrael for winning the First Place :) Here’s his video:

Here’s the 2nd place, Komikero’s entry:( this is really a laugh trip!)

The Mummy III: Tomb of the Dragon Empire

posted by Sharlyne Ang on August 12th, 2008 under Films, personal, Reviews

Karla and I watched this film a few days ago at the Gateway Mall and I could say that it was ok. I really couldn’t say that it’s really good and cannot even compare it to the other “The Mummy” flicks since I haven’t seen the last 2. It was average so to say.

We have already watched 2 Brendan Frasier flicks this past month the other was “The Journey to the Center of the Earth” and comparing the 2 Frasier flicks, I could judge that I like the “Journey” better than the “Mummy 3″. It was much funnier. The only scene that I actually laughed in “The Mummy 3″ was when the dead skeletons were attaching each other’s body parts that fell while battling the terracotta warriors. I also enjoyed the fact that I am seeing Beijing, China one more time. It made me reminisce the time when I was at the Great Wall and seeing the actual terracotta warriors in Xian, China. :)

Healthy Shabu-Shabu and the Lobsters Siesta Time

posted by Sharlyne Ang on August 6th, 2008 under Food tripping, personal

I used the gift certificates that was given last Shabu-Shabu 101 bloggers event held at Healthy Shabu-Shabu in Shangri la Mall. I treated my mom and my ninang ( whose birthday was just recently). We were so full. I still ordered the US Angus Beef Set since I enjoyed their Angus Beef during the event then. My mom ordered the Fat Beef and Seafood Set and as for my Ninang, she ordered Beef Tenderloin Set.

By the way, I took a picture of these lobsters. Just got interested, they’re actually upside down seem like sleeping. They need siesta too, this was taken about 3:30 pm :)

Eraserheads Reunion Gig Updates 2

posted by Sharlyne Ang on August 4th, 2008 under Events, gigs, sound trip

update: read Jim Ayson’s post in Philmusic.com confirming Phillip Morris as the Sponsor of the Eraserheads Reunion gig.

It’s already August and I am really getting impatient on how to get the tickets for this gig. Just recently read Azrael’s blog post today and also got to read his disappointment for the long wait. I recently checked Karla’s profile in Marlboro.ph ( well, I couldn’t remember my user name so I checked hers instead :) ) and still the same page is still appearing ( That Michael Buhay winning a Ducati 848 hehe). According to some Circus Mailing Listers, when they called the Marlboro Hotline, they were informed that the official announcement for the Eraserheads concert will be announced today. Meaning, the phone representatives themselves had already confirmed that it is indeed them who will be sponsoring this event.

Feeling Krung Krung

posted by Sharlyne Ang on August 3rd, 2008 under Food tripping, personal, Random Thoughts

I am feeling krung krung period. For those who do not know what it means, it’s defined as: a state of feeling one undergoes when he/she is out of her ‘normal’ state. Well that’s how I define it, I don’t know for others. I don’t really know why I am feeling this, probably I am just PMS-ing. I don’t know. I am feeling bored. I want to do many things, so little time ( and too expensive :) ). This morning I woke up from a 17 hour sleep ( I didn’t go to work last night) and suddenly craved for breakfast buffet in ‘Something Fishy’. Since I couldn’t drag Karla all the way from Parañaque, I dragged my mom to come along with me. So we went to Eastwood and ate the breakfast buffet. I really got so full hehe. We arrived there about 9:40 am and they’re about to clean up since the buffet is only until 10. After being the last customers there, we walked around the quiet Eastwood then headed to Cubao. Mom was going to her Church, and as for me ( who is not really into religious things) I went to Gateway Cubao and hung out in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. This time I was alone. I remember the times when I would be feeling this and this coffee shop is always the place I seek refuge. I am usually alone whenever I go to this coffee shop.

Probably I am bored.
