I Played Pharmacist for a Night at Rock Med
I know it’s a cliche but thank God, I survived the recent typhoons. An ordinary employee like me can only do as much. Thanks to Gang for allowing me to help in my own little way in some fund raising drives that Rock Ed has organized.

Rock Med, a medicine drive for the typhoon survivors happened last October 25. I as one of the volunteers manning the donation booth. So for a night, I played pharmacist. I practically didn’t know how to sort the medicines, good thing we have a volunteer who was a real pharmacist. All in all, we collected almost 1,700 pieces of medicines (including the bottles). Rivermaya gave most of the anti-fungal creams. It’s like they hoarded the whole Mercury Drug
, but thanks Rivermaya for being generous!
Rock Med is one of the fund raising events of Sagip Sining. Good thing Rock Ed did not pay for anything for staging the concert. Everything was sponsored.
Whatever amount of medicines people will be donating (and buying from them), they will be doubling that amount to be given to the recent typhoon survivors.
A lot of bands participated in this event such as Sandwich, Markus Highway, Imago, Pedicab, Chilitees, Kjwan, Malay, Peryodiko, Juan Pablo Dream, Mozzie, Sleepwalk Circus, Rivermaya, Paolo Santos and Noel Cabangon. Here are some band photos I took.
