Karla, Baby and I attended the Taste of Beauty event of Pond’s, this is for their Age Miracle line. There were lots of bouquet of roses around and lots of pretty ladies around as well. I was concerned that I was underdressed I wish I have worn a much better outfit. Well at least I wore make up to compensate that loss. Lolz. Anyway, there were lots of bloggers ( we actually got to meet Jane ) there and lots of free food and drinks ( no beers for last night, only red and white wines). It was a Friday night and I have work at 1 am so I can’t really be drunk. I just drank a glass of red wine.

There were different games wherein the guests would be able to participate. I was included in the first game, “shagidy shagidy sa popo”. We were all grouped based on the rose that we got during registration wherein there are quotable quotes attached on each rose. I got “You’re all worth waking up for” ( that’s from what movie?!!). During the registration we also got a free 7 day trial pack of the Pond’s Age Miracle. And as for being a participant in that game, I was able to get a consolation prize which is the Pond’s Age Miracle Daily Restructuring Cream ( which is actually worth Php 699.00, I just checked it at Watson’s today). We stayed there until the event was over and then headed Karla and I headed to Ayala, ate at Mcdonald’s ( as for me I also had coffee) and waited until 12:45 am before I go up to my office.

It was already morning, I realized the sun was already shining. I was able to see the place much better since we arrived at night you really couldn’t see anything. It was really rural, literally. Well it isn’t my first time to go this kind of place, my mom’s provice is somewhat like that ( Tablas, Romblon). After breakfast, we went to a coconut farm just to eat fresh coconut meat and coconut juice.

We headed our way to Laiya, Batangas ( also in San Juan) to go to the beach. It was about an hour drive from the place we spent the night in. We stayed in White Cove Laiya Resort. Spent about 125 bucks per head as the entrance, then we paid for the cottage which is about 800 bucks and we didn’t really had any food brought in so we just ate lunch at the resort restaurant. One thing I could say about the beach is that it’s clean ( and also the resort). That’s what’s really important for me. Though the sand isn’t that white ( it’s in white-brown.. is it cream? hehe),the place was clean and the water was clean; no remnants of sea trash. It was low tide then so for those of you who don’t really wanna swim just wanna have a dip this is the place to be.. I really enjoyed it because it’s been a long time since I’ve been to the beach. I felt that this is my first rest after college graduation. I actually never experienced having a vacation ever since I started working 2 years ago. I just wanna be alone then with my loved one, savor each moment that we’re togeher and keep it in my long term memory. It was special for us since this our first out of town trip as well as a couple and is also my first real out of town trip with someone. Meaning, I felt that I am with someone and not just busy hanging out with her friends. Even though it was just a day, it was a peaceful getaway, away from the busy urban jungle named Makati. We left the beach at about 7 pm then had dinner at a local eatery to eat their special Lomi. We arrived in Manila at about 11 pm. It was a tiring trip but I went home with Karla in Parañaque. My officemates were excited to see the pictures so we uploaded it here at once.

I remember when I was in high school, my personality and development teacher taught us in class that it only becomes a date when there are two people going out who have a mutual understanding and it should involve only a boy and a girl . At that early age, I disputed that statement ( well, only to myself ) because I have a girlfriend at that time. Hehe. And we used to date then so that is my reality of what a date should be. Sex ( the typification) is not important, for as long as there are 2 people who have a “romantic” link are going out, that is called a date. I think after my teacher told us that statement, i rebelled against her reality that it’s not only “straight” people that can experience dating. It really sucks to know that there are bigots like that and treat lgbt experiences as a joke. Well, I can’t blame her ignorance. That is how she was socialized by her parents. I believe that she has the notion that biology follows behavior. That everything is dictated by biology and shouldn’t deviate from that. It’s so old school. Hello.

Oh gosh, i still have 2 weeks to complete my thesis. Hayy. I will march next year. With the kiddies. hehe. I ll just get my certificate for being an org head and then scrung.. hehe. for the sake lang ng societal expectations. I ll do it.
