It’s really a sad, sad day today for the Philippine music industry as the Master Rapper, Francis Magalona passed away today at 12 noon. He was 44. He was diagnosed with Leukemia last year and has been battling this deadly disease. As we remember him through his TV interviews, he has always been positive even though he knew that anytime his life can be taken away. He was doing a collaboration album with Ely Buendia entitled “Sickos” and I am not sure if it is already done because they are still in the process of compiling the materials for it. They are both undergoing some battles in their health and they want this album to spread the message that having a disease (especially an incurable one) shouldn’t let anyone stop being ‘alive’.

Rest in Peace FrancisM. You are really the MAN.

Just last Saturday, October 24, Ely Buendia has returned to performing live again just like Superman. He performed live of course with his band, Pupil in Eat Bulaga. After performing “Disconnection Notice” with Pupil, he sang “Superproxy” with Francis M. It was also Francis M.’s first TV performance after recovering from his illness.
