Lifestyle Changes

Lately I have realized that I have changed my lifestyle. Eversince I changed my work schedule ( 6 am to 3 pm) and of course changing my rest days ( Sun-Mon), I have now the time and luxury to really go out and have fun. It’s been 3 or 4 weeks that I’ve been in this kind of schedule and so far I am really enjoying it.

I am really enjoying the changes in my life. I don’t know if I am in the stage of rebellion. Now who am I am rebelling to? Guess. It’s myself. Sometimes when you just want to forget the pain that you feel inside, you change the things that you do and even change your perspective in life. I know I am not like this before but I am enjoying the new me. This new self that I am now is someone that my legitimate exes or even the illegitimate ones do not know. I look forward to each day that I wake up because it’s the new me. I feel refreshed and not wasted. I feel light and anticipate the times that I will be hanging out with the new people in my life.

No more need to retro cause it’s really over. Matagal na.

Itenerary

Itenerary for a Sat gimmick after work:

* Waited for Karla to get her hair done at David’s.
* Pigged out at Masas merienda buffet
* Watched “One More Chance” ( still with Karla but for this one we’re with Baby)
* Hung out in Starbucks G4 and wait for Lhette and her girl.
* Changed my clothes to get ready for the Exclusive
* Arrived at the Manila DJ club at abt 12 mn.
* Approached by a mama butch and asked for my number ( ewww)
* Danced the night away with Karla
* Drank 2 beers ( oo yun lng hehe)
* Ate Oishi Wasabi chips and drank Mango Juice in our ever reliable Caltex Star Mart
* Went home with a happy face

All of these were accomplished until 3:30 am. What more can u ask for?

brainstorming, beer drinking and dancing.

Last night, Karla and I went out again. Of course, first thing in our agenda is Starbux! Hehe. Again, I ordered my usual green tea latte and had a couple of cigarettes. We’re talking about our start up “business” hehe. It’s a social networking website for Filipino Lesbians. Well, if you are familiar with downelink ( for the lgbt ppl) and friendster ( for the general public hehe), it’s something like that but this will cater only for lesbians ( or women per se) that is situated here in the Philippines. It’s like the g4m site for Filipino gays. I realized that we lesbians don’t have that kind of social networking site. Of course, Karla will be doing the web designing etc.. and as for me, I’m merely a contributor, the market researcher and of course the co-owner in this partnership. hehe. I’m really excited for this one ( especially Karla hehe adik!) because we are both involved in this circle. You know, we’re lesbians! duhh. hehe. Well for more opportunities for karirs. haha. Well anyway, she already had a test site put up exploring stuff that cld be placed in the actual one. We are planning a soft launch during the LGBT Pride march on Dec 8, just spreading the word about it. WE need a domain name!!! any suggestions? If u have suggestions pls msg reply here. 😉

Moving on, after talking about our pet project we went straight to T. Morato to go to Butterfly. She had photos exhibited there and of course had some beer. We had 2 each. Then after that we went to Manila DJ Club in Wilson St. Greenhills to crash the exclusive lesbian party organized by Switch. There weren’t many people. It’s just right, unlike the previous exclusive I attended with Naomi 2 weeks ago there the whole place was really jam packed. So we arrived there about 12 am, stayed there until about 3 am. There were no seats available so we just stood infront of the bar and danced the night away. Hehe. I had 2 beers again and wanting to have one more.. After that had some iced pokka coffee in caltex then headed home. Arrived abt 4 am.

Saguijo Virgin No More!

Another bumming moment with Karla today! hehe.. After work, my teammates and I decided to go to starbucks and just hang out. Well, I actually initiated that since I know I will be waiting for Karla to finish her work and will be able to meet up with me by 6 pm. So my teammates left eventually while Karla and I still continued to hang out at Starbucks. Then had dinner at Mixxlada then hung out in Greenbelt. We have to really do something cause we’re waiting for John ( Karla’s ex-officemate) to arrive so that we could all go to Saguijo to watch a gig sponsored by Nu 107’s In the Raw.

It was my first time to be in Saguijo.. I must say it was my virgin moment. hehe. The bands that performed were Traumaligno ( I got ur cd guys! hehe listened to it, ganda! astig!), Ursa Minor, Paraluman and Queso. Well unfortunately we weren’t able to catch Traumaligno and Paraluman. We only got to see Ursa Minor and Queso. With Queso, i’m glad that I was able to catch their performance of Mottaka.. Cool! Just had 2 beers, 1 can of red horse and a bottle of San mig light. I arrived home abt 2 am.

Boredom, Being Alone and Empowerment.

This past week I have been killing time due to boredom. While at work, of course I am with my officemates and talk about different things ( because of the idle time between calls). Now my problem is after work, I don’t have anyone really to talk to. I used to have someone whom I could talk/text to during breaks, before and after work, etc.. Now, she’s totally lost in I don’t know where so I am left with no one to talk to. Well, I try to text some of my friends and unfortunately all of them are busy. We exchange 1-3 messages and then the texting just ends. Continue reading “Boredom, Being Alone and Empowerment.”

Theorizing a Public Issue #2: Transexualism

COMMENTARY
Transsexual women (11/01/2007)

HONOLULU — This is not an easy piece to write. It’s probably the most unusual and unprecedented case the Philippine Supreme Court has had to deal with in its history. It will be many, many years before the high court can have some kind of “transgender law” to guide its future deliberations on transgender cases.
