This photo was taken seconds after Karla and I bought the copies of the Eraserheads Reunion Concert 083008. We bought ours in Astroplus SM Makati and we were lucky enough to get the last 2 DVDS on stock. This was just actually released today in all Astrovision and Astroplus stores only then starting January 31, you can already avail it through Odyssey outlets.
We started watching the DVD (it’s not yet done as of this moment) and captured nice photo moments. I envy Karla so much because she appeared twice. Huhu. (And I AM THE FAN GIRL MORE THAN HER!!!). Also the people I was with were at least seen like Tonton and King’s arm. Wahh!!! And where am I? BESIDE KING! Pathetic! Lol
Anyway, I was also saw the girl from NIke (I believe she is) whom I always see in our building (especially in the elevator). Nike’s office is in Rufino Tower and Raymund is one of the endorsers of Nike so most likely she got in there through the SVIP section Raymund. (official concert poster designed by Wolfgang’s vocalist, Basti Artadi)
Wolfgang is seriously back in the music scene especially now that they have a major concert with their real life friends in the rock scene, Razorback. The show will be entitled “Wolfgang Tales: Two Sides Live”. Both of the bands will be performing the sound that we’re familiar with however they will also be having an acoustic set.
So be prepared to rock your worlds as the gods of Philippine Heavy Metal will be in one stage again. Again, here are the official details of the concert:
What: Wolfgang Tales: Two Sides Live
When: March 19, 2009
Time: 9:00 PM
Where: Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan
How to get the tickets: TBA (will update you soon but start saving up for this one! 😉 )
Weeee!!! I am so excited!!! We already got the VIP tickets last week, with control numbers 69 and 70. This wouldn’t be possible without my ever so sweet best half. Thank you so much! Actually, she bought the tickets last Jan. 22 and was given the instructions not to blog about it until she blogs it in her blog. Hehe. Anyway, I was planning to buy the Gold tickets (worth 3k) for the both of us but she surprised me and bought the VIP tickets! So, Karla and I have officially cancelled (we won’t rebook it anymore coz it’s more expensive) our Cagayan de Oro trip for this major gig.
Wolfgang hibernated in the local music scene and after 6 years they are now back with a studio album. Their last studio album recorded was “Black Mantra” released last 2001. The band took a break after releasing “Black Mantra”; members of the band separated ways (Basti Artadi went to San Francisco, Wolf Gemora stayed in L.A, Mon Legaspi in Hong Kong and Manuel Legarda just stayed here in Manila). The band is still firm that they never really disbanded, they just “took a break”.
It was unfortunate that I was not able to watch the Black Chistmas Project concert for this album last Dec.10 in Eastwood. Oh well, I will have the chance to see them live anyway this March 😉 (watch out for this one!!!). And so, because of my misery of not being there in Eastwood last December, I just resorted on listening to the album. And to my surprise, they can still rock! Well, it’s not the original line-up anymore because Francis Aquino is now their new drummer. According to Wolf, he did not quit the band. He commented on Philmusic.com’s blogpost regarding this album. Here’s what he had to say: Continue reading “Wolfgang’s 6th Album “Villains””
This lost in transcription blog post is brought to you by the upcoming Eraserheads Final Set concert. Haha. So far, this is the worst transcription of this song.
original lyrics: You can’t win ON everything
Original lyrics: You can never be too happy in this LIFE. Continue reading “Lost in Transcription 2: With a Smile by the Eraserheads”

The second leg of the series of benefit gigs for Anabel Bosch happened last January 9 at Saguijo Cafe in Makati. The band line up was really good and because of that Saguijo was filled with people as early as 8 pm. Usually the place gets filled up around 11pm -12 midnight. And the funny thing was, the Eraserheads Mailing Listers (a.k.a Circus Mailing Listers) actually filled half of the place. Of course even though the band had already disbanded we would still support the individual member’s respective bands and at that night Sandwich (Raymund’s band) and Pupil ( Ely’s band) was there to perform. There aren’t any chairs left to sit so Karla and I decided to stand infront of the mic. (If you have been in Saguijo, you know what I’m talking about) Well, Saguijo is just a small place and there’s no stage so from where I am standing at that time, I was literally infront of the vocalist ( So for more picture opportunity for me! 😉 )
This was a Rock Ed gig but Gang Badoy wasn’t there yet so there were proxy hosts for her. They already have sponsors that night such as Slenda and Enduranz, so the hosts had some games and gift packs to give away. I actually won a Slenda DVD (it’s an advantage being right infront of the host haha). Well anyway, here is the order of the bands: South Superhighway, Sugarfree, Top Junk, Chillitees, Itchyworms, Pupil, Sandwich and Join the Club.
Elmer Ona of South Superhighway or SLEX 🙂
Sugarfree – Ebe Dancel (vocals), Jal Taguibao (guitars) and Kaka Quisumbing (drums)
South Superhighway is a band composed of members namely Elmer Ona on vocals/guitars, Ben Riego on guitars, Vhall Riddle on bass and Shinji Tanaka on drums. It’s my first time to see them perform. Their songs are feel good, not so heavy. After SLEX, Sugarfree performed their old songs like Burnout, Kwarto, Prom etc. They also performed a new song entitled “Hay Buhay” from their newest album which will be released this year. It’s a positive song about life. Ebe even forgot the title when I asked him about it. hehe. Have a sneak peek of it below 🙂 Continue reading “Rock Bosch 2 at Saguijo Cafe: Pupil, Sandwich, Chillitees, Sugarfree, Itchyworms, Southsuperhighway, Top Junk and Join the Club”
On Sunday, January 10th, Anabel has chosen to rest in peace. She spent 10 days in the hospital. Even though Anabel had already passed away, your donations are still needed. Her brain surgery alone already costed Php 500,000 and that’s not including her laboratories and doctor’s fees. The Rock Bosch gigs will still continue to help cover the expenses and also to help Mishka, her survived daughter, for her future as well.
