Reunion concerts of 90’s bands are becoming common these days. We, as 90’s kids back then, are happy to see things that remind us of our childhood (or adolescence). During the Moonpools and Caterpillars concert at Amber Lounge, Pinoytuner announced that Teeth will be having their reunion concert. I was so excited that I even saw Glenn Jacinto during the Summer Siren Festival with the Pedicab guys (not performing) so I was already looking forward to it. I anticipated the moment when they announced the finalized dates then suddenly it was a work night and in Ortigas. Oh yeah, I missed the moment of finally seeing them for the first time. Tried to avoid my social media network the night and day after the concert so I wouldn’t feel so bad of missing Teeth’s reunion concert.

During 6th grade , my classmate made me listen to this cool tape with a cool album cover. She said that this is not local but most of the members were Pinoy. The band’s name sounded very interesting too – they’re called Moonpools and Caterpillars. Totally clueless, I listened to this album called, “Lucky Dumpling”. On April 11th, I watched their final performance at the Amber Ultralounge with my partner Karla. Continue reading “And the 90’s Nostalgia Goes On – Moonpools and Caterpillars Reunites in Manila”
My summer officially started in the Summer Siren Festival. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights in Crystal Beach, San Narciso, Zambales – a place known for surfing. I don’t really know how to surf but I enjoyed taking photos of those doing it :).
Our journey started on April 4th – call time of Travel Factor is 3:00 am. I haven’t really slept since I woke up on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:00 am. We arrived Crystal Beach at around 9:00 am. The food concessionaires, booze and party was supposed to start at 10:00 am according to the primer that Travel Factor emailed but we arrived there they were still setting up. The package we bought does not entitle us to stay at Crystal Beach but instead in a nearby resort. It was scorching hot while we wait for our check in time (2 pm). People were really too tired to be in the party mood because of the very early call time. The moment we arrived in our room, slept until 5 pm. Just in time for dinner and the concert.
