Ex-Eraserheads drummer, Raymund Marasigan, was accused by a graphic artist/photographer of beating him up during the FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women event held last night at the World Trade Center. The news was reported at GMA 7’s morning show Unang Hirit.
According to the graphic artist/photographer, he was taking photos of the models while Sandwich was performing then, allegedly Raymund poured water of their group. He said that Raymund might have been upset because they were not focused on the band performing. He also said that Raymund allegedly hit him and then Mike Dizon helped beating the sh*t out of him. Until now Raymund has not released any statements regarding this matter. I just hope that this will just be a minor misunderstanding and be settled at once. On April 5, 2009, you can relive the moment while you were at the Eraserheads Final Set or catch it if you’ve missed it. The TV Premiere will be shown on GMA 7 at 10 pm. Make sure you’re tuned in!
Also, an Eraserheads Documentary will be shown at MTV on April 4th.
** This is a repost from pinoyrockcentral.
After 7 months of waiting, the Eraserheads reunited once more. We don’t know the reasons of this re-reunion but being an Eraserheads hardcore fan, it is good news for me. For the people who ask why they are doing this, it’s not really our bloody right to know.
The night before the concert, I was up until 5 am. Supposedly, I was going to sleep early to prep up for this event but something came up. Anyway, I woke up at 11 am and headed to SM Mall of Asia with Karla. We first hung out at Bona Coffee opposite the concert grounds. Karla was wearing her Noytee shirt, the shirt I got didn’t fit me so I requested to meet up with someone from Noytee to get a larger size at 3:30 pm.
Around 4:00 pm, we headed to the VIP entrance as we are expecting that the gates would open at 3:00 pm. Apparently, they’re not letting anyone in yet. Karla and I were the 3rd and 4th person on the right side entrance (near the bay). Patricia and Gerard (newly found friends from Circus) were the 1st and 2nd on the line. We’re complete strangers but the Eraserheads binded us as if we’re already familiar with each other. The guards then were instructed to let the audience in around 4:30 pm. I was really surprised to see how near I am from the stage. Continue reading “This is the Last El Bimbo – My Eraserheads Final Set Experience”
This photo was just uploaded hours ago by Marcus Adoro (through his multiply site, photo taken by Mohawkmom). Just like good old days but this time with a higher rockstar status 😉 . Woot! Rock on!
Let me just give you some Eheads final set preparations that you can do:
- Starting now, try to recall the lyrics of their songs so that you can be part of the grand videoke party on the gig itself. You can probably do 1 album at a time, be creative. Don’t forget their rare songs, you might be surprised that they might perform it. It’s pathetic that you only know the common ones like Alapaap, Huling El Bimbo, Magasin and many more.
- Try to go to the gigs of their respective bands. They perform in small clubs like Saguijo, 70’s Bistro, Route 196. It’s also one way of moving on from the Eheads Era. Continue reading “Are you ready for this? Things to do before the Eraserheads Final Set Concert”

The second leg of the series of benefit gigs for Anabel Bosch happened last January 9 at Saguijo Cafe in Makati. The band line up was really good and because of that Saguijo was filled with people as early as 8 pm. Usually the place gets filled up around 11pm -12 midnight. And the funny thing was, the Eraserheads Mailing Listers (a.k.a Circus Mailing Listers) actually filled half of the place. Of course even though the band had already disbanded we would still support the individual member’s respective bands and at that night Sandwich (Raymund’s band) and Pupil ( Ely’s band) was there to perform. There aren’t any chairs left to sit so Karla and I decided to stand infront of the mic. (If you have been in Saguijo, you know what I’m talking about) Well, Saguijo is just a small place and there’s no stage so from where I am standing at that time, I was literally infront of the vocalist ( So for more picture opportunity for me! 😉 )
This was a Rock Ed gig but Gang Badoy wasn’t there yet so there were proxy hosts for her. They already have sponsors that night such as Slenda and Enduranz, so the hosts had some games and gift packs to give away. I actually won a Slenda DVD (it’s an advantage being right infront of the host haha). Well anyway, here is the order of the bands: South Superhighway, Sugarfree, Top Junk, Chillitees, Itchyworms, Pupil, Sandwich and Join the Club.
Elmer Ona of South Superhighway or SLEX 🙂
Sugarfree – Ebe Dancel (vocals), Jal Taguibao (guitars) and Kaka Quisumbing (drums)
South Superhighway is a band composed of members namely Elmer Ona on vocals/guitars, Ben Riego on guitars, Vhall Riddle on bass and Shinji Tanaka on drums. It’s my first time to see them perform. Their songs are feel good, not so heavy. After SLEX, Sugarfree performed their old songs like Burnout, Kwarto, Prom etc. They also performed a new song entitled “Hay Buhay” from their newest album which will be released this year. It’s a positive song about life. Ebe even forgot the title when I asked him about it. hehe. Have a sneak peek of it below 🙂 Continue reading “Rock Bosch 2 at Saguijo Cafe: Pupil, Sandwich, Chillitees, Sugarfree, Itchyworms, Southsuperhighway, Top Junk and Join the Club”
A news article just came out last January 10 regarding the Eraserheads Reunion Concert Final Set that is set to happen on March 7, 2009. I for one got excited and saddened at the same time because I will be at Cagayan de Oro on that date. Hopefully I can fix arrangement with the airline. Well, moving on, everybody was thrilled to know about that. The Eraserheads Mailing List or popularly known as “Circus” is being flooded by messages of excitement about it and I also believe that the Eheads members themselves are also being bombarded with questions. Raymund Marasigan posted an email to the Cambio Mailing List about his sentiments:
Subject: Eheads 09
Date: January 11, 2009 Sunday
i got a lot of messages yesterday asking about the eraserheads
concert. apparently there was a press release already in the papers.
anyhoo, here’s what i got so far.
yes its true. that much i know. but after the first one i got darwin
(soupstar, sandwich) to iron out my concerns before anything.i want
this one to be smoother. in other words i just want to rock.
the band has not me yet officially but i know the promoters have been
talking with our respective representatives since december.
we have a dysfunctional relationship haha. we play well together but i
think we can only stand each other for short periods of time.
i see buddy a lot cos were band mates in cambio. i bumped into marcus
at mogwai last week. he just got back from the beach. im glad ely’s
getting his groove back. sandwich played with pupil at guijo last friday.
we dont talk about the show. i know everyone agreed to do it so ill
guess well see each other at the presscon or rehearsals , whichever
this wont be as top secret as the marlboro gig. there will be tickets,
sponsors and details in the papers. and well be allowed to talk about
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL OR TEXT ME about it. its just a rock show. i just
want to rock.
see you all there
So there, it’s not actually confirmed yet that it will happen on the date mentioned on the article (with my fingers crossed…) but there are already talks that it will happen this year. All we have to do is just wait and see what will happen so as of this moment, I will still have to make arrangements with the airline to move the flight for the next day, in case it really will happen on March 7th 😉 .
The most awaited Eraserheads Reunion DVD will be officially released on January 31, 2009. Got this information from the Eraserheads Mailing List and of course from Sony BMG. The DVD will of course feature all the songs that were performed in the concert itself and some interesting stuff like behind the scenes and the rehearsal. This is a must have for Eraserheads fans out there.
It shall go down local music history as that singular moment where four estranged band members – Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro – came together for one spectacular reunion – 08.30.08. One band. One great show. One night only.
The historic performance of the country’s biggest band in the 90s that drew in more than 50,000 people at The Fort Bonifacio Open Field on Aug. 30, 2008, will be immortalized in one DVD – plus bonus features of behind-the-scene footages, rehearsals, etc.
“Eraserheads: Reunion Concert” boasts of outstanding production value. The state-of-the-art sounds, lights, and stage. The audience that night were so thrilled to find themselves drowned out by the outstanding display of lights and fireworks. It was truly a magnificent event, to say the least. All these, plus the thousands of adoring fans caught on camera, will be relived all over again in “Eraserheads: The Reunion Concert” DVD.
I’m so excited! I Just bought my Eraserheads Reunion CD today at Odyssey Sm Sta. Mesa and I really have to blog about this one. Now I can relive the the moment again and again! If you are an Eraserheads fan, YOU SHOULD HAVE THIS!
